AI Clinical Workflow Lead - 6 month FTC

Optegra has an exciting new job opportunity for an experienced Al Clinical Workflow Lead to join our amazing and supportive team on a 6 month fixed term contract. This is a hybrid position whereby you'll be doing – 3 days WFH and 2 days in the office.

The Role

We are looking for a clinically experienced, detail-oriented AI Clinical Workflow Lead to support the safe and effective integration of AI across Optegra’s patient pathways. This role ensures that every AI-driven feature aligns with clinical workflows, regulatory standards, and governance frameworks and is clearly communicated across the organisation.

You will lead on clinical workflow mapping, SOP creation, compliance alignment, and internal incident reviews. Additionally, you will play a vital role in supporting the internal communications strategy to ensure new features and updates are clearly explained to relevant teams.

 

What You’ll Need  

  • Clinical background (e.g. Optometrist) with governance or clinical transformation experience
  • Proven experience in creating or updating clinical SOPs, audits, and supporting digital change
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to map processes and flag clinical risk
  • Strong written communication skills, especially translating complex clinical workflows into easy-to-follow operational guidance
  • Experience drafting internal-facing content such as SOP summaries, guidance documents, or briefing materials
  • Confident working across teams to support safe, scalable feature launches in a clinical setting
  • Bonus: Knowledge of clinical risk frameworks and digital safety standards (e.g. DCB0160, UKCA)
